If you are an insurance salesman, you know how important good leads are. You spend a lot of time trying to find leads, and it is really frustrating to see them walk away.
There are 2 basic reasons for your leads to go away
- Competition: If they select another agent for their job. Though, if you are a good agent, with established rapport with your customers, there are less chances of this happening.
- Carrier's websites: These days, the carrier companies have everything on their website, so leads naturally think they don't need salesmen. This is the main reason for leads to go away.
- Applaud them: Very important! Do not frown if they have searched on your carrier's website for more affordable quotes. Instead encourage them, and offer your help in this process. If you bring them down, they will definitely not stick with you.
- Tell them the importance of a good agent. You can help them in filling the application form. They might now know it, but incomplete or incorrect application forms get rejected, and if a number of forms get rejected, they can get stuck with high premiums for the rest of the policy duration.
- Getting approved: You can help their application in getting approved. You can understand the language of underwriters, and can get to know the status of their application.
Follow these points, and you will see the number of your leads growing.
