Miley Cyrus dances around a pole while performing her hit new song “Party in the USA” at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday afternoon (August 9) in Universal City, California.

I really don't get what the big deal is here. Miley Cyrus was only by the pole for a few seconds and she didn't even really dance around it. You could tell she was mostly using it for support, not to dance around. And to the booty shorts issue, what's the big deal? She's a teenager. Most of them wear those all the time. It's just how teenagers are. Why is she so special?

Billy Ray Cyrus doesn't think daughter Miley's pole dance at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month was so hot or controversial.
